The purpose this study is conducted to examine factors which influence older people’s quality of life. The subjects of this study were those who were over 60 years old. Data were collecetd from December 10, 2003 to April 10, 2004. 1) The level of quality of life is 60.8 points on the basis of 100 points. It is higher in the groups of male, younger persons, having spouse, more monthly pocket money, highly educated persons, and utilizing community welfare facility. 2) The job satisfaction level is 55.7 point on the 100 points. The satisfaction level of leisure life and economic status are 62.0 points and 61.1 points respectively. The satisfaction level of housing condition and clothing are 66.4 points and 64.0 points respectively. The satisfaction level of social participation is 50.8 points. 3) The factors which influence quality of life are life satisfaction level, health condition, economic status. As shown in the above results, the level of quality of life is low. It is 60.8 points on the basis of 100 points. The factors which influence the level of quality of life are life satisfaction level, health condition, economic status. Therefore, it is Important to enlarge health service and employment for the elderly. The government and related organizations must make efforts to institutionalize health security and economic support for the elderly.
